چکیده
Cardiac autonomic neuropathy is most common secondary complication of diabetes mellitusis frequently undiagnosed and neglected even though it an independent predictor mortality morbidity. This phenomenon can be further exacerbated with co-morbidities like cirrhosis. High prevalence as well cirrhosis has been reported in Pakistan. However, proper knowledge information regarding incidence diabetesin induced cardiovascular lacking. So, its early detection timely management needed to prevent cirrhotic diabetic cardiomyopathy. Our objective determine compare the frequency non-diabetic patients. Methods:Cross sectional study was done on120 patients enrolled Mufti Mehmood Memorial Teaching Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan. Two groups, nondiabetic were taken. Those selected, who had controlled glycemic levels due medication, both groups a definite diagnosis liver. determined each patient using five standard tests. There after Bellavere,s scoring system applied assess extent cardiac dysfunction subject. Results: 33 males 27 females group 31 29 group. The mean age 57.48 ± 10.80 years whereas patients, 51.92 14.21 years. In group, 52 parasympathetic tests derangement 50 sympathetic derangement. 48 47 test After analysing results neuropathy, comparison between two reveal that there no significant difference groups. Conclusions:This shows develops subjects, found comparable diabetics non-diabetics, increases severity increase liver damage, suggesting damage contributes neurological deficit.

One of the most overlooked of all serious complications of diabetes is cardiovascular autonomic neuropathy (CAN),1–3 which encompasses damage to the autonomic nerve fibers that innervate the heart and blood vessels, resulting in abnormalities in heart rate control and vascular dynamics.4 The present report discusses the clinical manifestations (eg, resting tachycardia, orthostasis, exercise int...

OBJECTIVE Cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) has been associated with a poor prognosis in patients with diabetes. Because CAN is common in patients with diabetic nephropathy, we evaluated the predictive value of CAN in type 1 diabetic patients with and without diabetic nephropathy. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS In a prospective observational follow-up study, 197 type 1 diabetic patients with di...

To determine the prevalence and extent of autonomic neuropathy amongst Africans with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM), we investigated 50 such patients at our clinic. Mean age (+/- 1 s.d.) was 26 +/- 6 years, male:female ratio was equal (25M:25F) and duration of diabetes was 4.0 +/- 3.0 years. A battery of six validated tests of autonomic function was performed, testing both sympathet...
